Day 5: Oksu Station, All Chang BBQ

why Oksu station?
we had always wanted to take a bicycle ride along Hangang river
and much to our pleasant surprise, the Korean government offers free bicycle rentals at certain subway stations near the Hangang river.
(for more info on free bike rentals and its stations go here)

Directions: Take exit #2 of Oksu Station and head down using the stairs.
walk towards the main road on your right and take a left turn.

you will see several eateries on your left with the main road on your right
cross the pedestrian walk and continue walking straight
once you cross the pedestrian walk you should be able to see this pathway
walk straight towards the yellow box which is supposed to be the traffic light
you will see the bicycle rental area opposite the road
(in hints of green and beige)
you will be able to reach the bicycle rental place once you cross the street
this is taken from the bicycle rental street of where we just crossed the street
yes, i had to.

this was one of the times when i felt awful about not being able to ride a bicycle.
i did try. i did fail too. someday, maybe.
as the Hangang river as our backdrop, it was beautiful, especially in the evening that we were there
Hangang river near Oksu station was two things:
tranquil and a sight to behold.
and hopefully next time round,
i can tell you that its a good place to ride your bike around too.

Dinner was a feast.
remember the stretch of eateries i told you earlier?
we headed back there and had one of the best dinners we had in Korea.
it was a restaurant called All Chang & BBQ
i have pictures so get ready to drool.
we had pork and every piece of it tasted (insert the best adjective you have for delicious)
refillable side dishes
the meat was not marinated but it tasted great even on its own!
All Chang had quite an array of dishes in their menu as well.
but the staffs at All Chang could only speak limited English.
and i was too tired to make out what they were trying to say in Korean.
hence we ordered like two portions of pork bbq.
no regrets!

Thoughts:

more like 'thought' right now as there is only one:
I miss All Chang & BBQ's feast.

  1. It's so important to realize that every time you get upset, it drains your emotional energy.
