Travelette : Day 4 in Brisbane

Time flies! It's already our fourth day in Brisbane. But this day is lacking nothing.
It was packed with tons of fun too as we also went on a little adventure with us exploring Brisbane through its train system!

I got up pretty early today. About 6.30am?
(Mind you, it's 4.30am - Malaysian time, as far as my brain is concerned!)
But it was worth it nonetheless!
We decided to take a train to visit the famous Steve Irwin Australian Zoo! Yays.

The train ride took about 1 hour or so from central Brisbane.

The train officer. Ahems.

Us at the train station!

Along the way, we got to see the various types of houses in the different districts in Brisbane!

I like the fact that the walls surrounding the train along the way is always a variety of paintings, or simple structures which I think is really creative!

One example...

I think it's rather artsy. There are other sorts of paintings but I only managed to capture this so yeahhh.

Finally! The zoo!
Nearest to the entry, there are several crocodiles laying (mostly sleeping) in the water.

This is Albert!

And meet Robert and his girlfriend - Fang 2
*notice how Roberts hand is hugging his girl!

Next, Australia, you can't really say you're here if you haven't seen two animals :
koala bear and kangaroos!
And I'm glad I had my fair share of both!

Caught this guy sleeping while hugging the tree tightly!

And this other cute guy.

Kangaroos!

*ever wondered how a Joey jumped into its mothers pouch? Read this!

And I also managed to get a photo with a sheep!

There were also some pretty mosaic art on the walls.

Next are some snapshots of the Wildlife Warriors show!

This bad boy over here can bite off a hand in just seconds!

And some photos I took in Africa section.

We also managed to watch the Tiger show.
I learned so much!

Did you know that tigers claw trees to mark their territory? Pretty much the same reason why cats claw furnitures too! Their claws have glands which can leave scents as their mark.

Also! Did you know tigers can climb trees?!
Gone are the myths where shows 'taught' you to climb up a tree to hide from a tiger attack!

Later in the afternoon we took a train back to CBD again.
Managed to grab a boxed ice coffee which is pretty decent!

*Gabriel said hi!

Our night is again ended with a spectacular dinner. Siew bak (roasted pork) all the way in Brisbane by the one and only a Uncle Steven!
It is just too good to be earthly!
The skin is crispy and the meat is so juicy!

And a picture of our lovely dinner.

Today was splendid and is also looking forward to tomorrow's itinerary! x
