Annyeonghaseyo!
Well, if you know me, you will know i'm a great korea-lover.
Not as much as the songs (you know, kpop and stuff)
But I just simply adore the culture, the language, the mannerism,
and also the fashion (both traditional and modern fashions)!

Look : Prints - yay or nay?

looking at spring/summer trends, 2014 is once again a season of prints!

Marc by Marc Jacobs - via patternbank.com

Vivienne Tam - via patternbank.com

loving the prints in stores but not sure how to style it without looking too whimsical?
here are some ideas to try out!

1. print + plain
the safest is to pair your printed tops/bottoms with plain bottoms/tops.
You can never go wrong with this choice as it will offer you a balance
between casual and bold.

2. a printed cardi is also lovely as well, matched with plain tops and bottoms,
adding some details and colour to your outfit.

*liking the way the denim is rolled up outside of the printed cardi!

3. printed scarves
this is like the easiest way to wear crazy prints!

*but what I love is this next style : cropped top and a printed scarf!
try it!

 4. printed blazer + printed bottom
a pair of blazer and bottom with matching prints will look cute
and not as though you're trying too hard!
* a matching bag is a plus point!

5. mix & match
only works if you know how to match your prints!
if you work it right, it will look totally fab!

have fun!

Look !

do you ever look at that statement necklace (you bought just because it was a musthave), I get you, and wonder - what on earth am I ever going to wear that with without being too showy or seem like i'm trying too hard?
x
well, thanks to carolinesmode.com , I found some pretty great ideas for you to try out with that gorgeous statement necklace of yours! Yayzers.
x

1. plain tops
- to balance up the 'drama' of thy necklace, you may want to try a clean, plain top. you can pair it with a printed bottom for a fun day out! just put on your sandals for a casual feel and you're off to go!

 - if printed bottoms are not your thing, you can also try a bright colored plain bottom
(just like this cute bubble skirt) for a summery, flirty kind of look.
flats or sandals are brilliant to give you a more relaxed look.

 2. sweater tops
 - well, Autumn is pretty much about now (although sadly Malaysia does not have Autumn)
Nyways, Autumn means sweater season again! yays.
so, try pairing your statement necklace with a (preferably plain) sweater top
to add a pop to your outfit.

 * leather pants goes sexily (fabulously) well with this outfit idea as well!
somehow, leather just makes things sexier, naughtier and well, you get the idea.

3. blazers
this (I think) is fab for formal looks. it adds some wow factor to your outfit without overdoing it.
simple. classy. fab.

let me know if you have any other ideas on how to wear a statement necklace?
I will appreciate it tons. loves.
